Alex has an extensive experience creating award-winning marketing and advertising campaigns for Fortune 100 companies including Master Card, Procter and Gamble, Coca-Cola, Gillette, Honda, Goodyear, Kimberly Clark, Unilever, Exxon, Bayer, General Mills, L’Oréal, among others.
Before joining Willow Creek Partners as Director of Marketing, she founded and managed ARM Integrated Communications in Reston, VA, where she developed multi-platform marketing strategies and campaigns in both English and Spanish for local and international companies.
Previously, she founded, managed, and sold SnapLinks Communications, an advertising and PR agency headquartered in Miami with offices in 5 Latin American countries; co-owned and relaunched La Isla newspapers in Key Biscayne, Florida; and founded, managed, and sold Reston Lifestyle Magazine, the first community and lifestyle magazine in Reston, VA.
An award-winning creative director and copywriter since young age, Alex has worked for world-renown advertising agencies including Ogilvy, McCann Worldwide, FCB Global, and Bates. Her creative work has been recognized in international award festivals including Clio Awards, NY Festivals, Festival Iberoamericano de la Publicidad (FIAP), Caribe Festival, Premios Catalina, among many others.
Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the Catholic University of Manizales, Colombia, a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Houston, and a MBA from the Polytechnic University in Bogota, Colombia.
